Summer has set in and the weather is hotting up so we are going to the beach. This summer my family and I will be visiting Okinawa for our first time and as such we are getting my daughter used to the sea as much as possible. We have also started taking her to the local pool on Mondays to swim which she enjoys very much. For myself it is good to be back in the water as most Australians are raised with a culture of going to the sea since temperatures typically reach over 40 degrees Celsius in summer. Fortunately such days are bone dry which contrasts to Japan’s very high humidity. I hope everyone has an enjoyable summer and I look forward to reporting on my experiences in Okinawa.
